About this coffee

An interesting varietal from Nicaragua.

The Mierisch family has been farming coffee in the high mountain regions of Matagalpa and Jinotega for over 100 years. As a family-run operation, they are focused on producing extremely high quality, shade-grown coffee. On all of the Mierisch farms, cherries are picked by hand, wet-milled at the farm, and then brought to a central area for drying on open-air patios or covered, raised beds. All of the coffee is prepared for export at the family’s own dry mill Don Esteban. This means they have complete control over the whole production process, from the agronomics at the farm to the picking and processing before finally readying the beans for export.
